Our anti-slip mats are suitable as auxiliaries for load securing of all cargo to be transported. No matter if it is pallet cargo in containers, sharped-edged cargo, paper transports, steel plates, chipboards or steel mesh to be secured, Grönheit & Weigel anti-slip mats are an effective and inexpensive solution. Their effectiveness is, among other things, a result of the fact that the number of strapping materials needed decreases significantly when using them.
The effectiveness and the wide variety of applications of our anti-slip mats is described and confirmed by tests and certificates of DEKRA and VDI 2700, page 9, which we would be pleased to send you when required. Anti-slip mats are used by numerous carriers and are recommended or prescribed for load securing by supervisory authorities like cargo inspectors or the police.
G&W anti-slip mats: facts and fields of application
Due to its anti-slip effect the coefficient of sliding friction is decreased to µ 0,6 minimum and thus decreases the number of strapping materials needed. These mats are made of rubber-polyurethane-composite with a maximum load of 125 t/m². They are temperature resistant from – 40 °C to 115 °C and resistant against sodium chloride, weak acids and caustics. The cavity proportion absorbs impurities and moisture off the loading area und thus prevents a decrease of the coefficient of sliding friction. Our anti-slip mats are suitable for both smaller and large surfaces depending on the type of application and quality. Moreover, according to the testing of IfV Dortmund, they are suitable for multiple use.

BSW does not publish general, uncommented coefficients of sliding friction. This recognises the fact that this coefficient of sliding friction-enhancing underlays depends on the material pairing, the condition of material surfaces and the anti-slip mat (pollution, humidity etc.). To ensure the optimal anti-slip effect contact surfaces, load and floor, have to be broom-clean, grease-free and dry.

Regupol® anti-slip mats are especially suitable for heavy load, load with sharp edges, paper transports, steel plates, chipboards and all paper loadings.
A special advantage of Regupol® anti-slip mats is their cavity proportion. It absorbs impurities, humidity etc. from the loading area and avoids significant decrease of the coefficient of sliding friction in contrary to film-like or anti-slip materials with smooth surfaces. Load diagrams of anti-slip mats
When heavy loads are expected to lie on the Regupol® anti-slip mats, BSW displays the deflection curve in a diagram. This will reveal the behavior of the mat in case of heavy load and how much the deflection lies underneath the permitted maximum load. The size of the mat and thus the surface pressure have to be chosen in a way that the mat will deform no more than 30 per cent. This value defines, according to VDI 2700 Page 15, the maximum load limit of the anti-slip mat. Size and strength of the anti-slip mat must therefore be chosen in a way that load and loading surface have no direct contact to avoid reduction of the coefficient of sliding friction through mixed friction.
