  • Responsibility for the Protection of our Environment

Our understanding of sustainability is based on the values of our company: responsibility, customer orientation and innovation.

We work continuously to reduce the impact of our business activities on the environment. Our measures relieve the burden on nature and at the same time reduce costs for materials, energy, emissions and disposal.

    Together – For you

That is why we make agreements with our suppliers to comply with basic environmental standards. For example, we only sell products that do not contain any questionable ingredients. In our own interest and to ensure a high level of product safety for our customers, we intensively monitor the implementation on the part of our suppliers.

In the future, we will continue to keep a close eye on the updating of legal guidelines and requirements in this area and adapt our actions accordingly.

In addition, we work in consultation with suppliers on the development of new production techniques in order to optimise production processes in an environmentally friendly manner.

    Sustainable – For all

Recycling is defined as “any recovery process by which waste is reprocessed into products, materials or substances either for the original purpose or for other purposes”.  Therefore, when selecting our products, we always ensure that they are 100% recyclable wherever possible. In doing so, the original materials can be reprocessed in such a way that they become secondary raw materials that can be marketed again.

    Ecological – For the future

Our entire company is powered by electricity from renewable sources. This is used not only to supply our infrastructure, but also to charge electrically powered vehicles. In this way, we make our contribution to reducing harmful CO2 emissions. In order to leave a world worth living in for future generations.

    REACH Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006

We – as Grönheit & Weigel – are a so-called “downstream user” in the sense of the REACH regulation, as we do not manufacture or import any individual substances or preparations ourselves.

Therefore, we are not subject to any registration obligation according to REACH. The chemical substances contained in our products that may be subject to registration must therefore be registered exclusively by our upstream suppliers.

At the present time and based on the information provided by our suppliers, our products do not currently contain any substances above 0.1% by weight that are included in the so-called “candidate list” of the REACH regulation and are therefore subject to registration.

    RoHS 2 Directive 2011/65/EU

At the present time and based on the information provided by our suppliers, all our products comply with the RoHS 2 Directive on the “Restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment”.
