Effective Load Securing
In this section we offer you Ratchet straps and Clamp lock straps in various designs.
Ratchet straps (tension straps) are probably the best-known means of securing loads and are familiar to most people. Such a belt usually consists of a ratchet and woven textile straps with hooks. The load is effectively secured by tensioning the strap.
Tie-down lashing is the most common type of securing. Here the load is pressed onto the loading surface. This increases the friction and the frictional force holds the load firmly on the loading surface. This is why it is also referred to as friction-locked load securing. Anti-slip mats are used to increase the coefficient of friction. This reduces the number of belts needed. The force acting on the load is called the pre-tensioning force. It is applied by the ratchet of the lashing strap.
With direct lashing, the load is not pressed onto the loading surface but merely held in position. The belts are used in a straight pull and only become effective when the load tries to move. This is a form-fitting securing system in which the belts replace the load compartment boundary.
Straps with a cam buckles are particularly suitable for quick securing during internal transport.
